This is a digital painting I did in Adobe Photoshop. Except of some textures there was no photography involved in this work. Actual size is about 10.000 x 5.000 px, so I recommend having a look at the fullsize zoomable version over at ugmf.de/else to discover some of the detail which is hard to recognize at this size here.
